Showing the leading role of clinical trials on immunization against Covid-19 in Brazil and worldwide is one of the objectives of the CoronaVac Symposium, carried out by Instituto Butantan in partnership with Sinovac, next Tuesday (7), Wednesday (8) and Thursday (9). The international event promotes scientific discussion of the conclusions of Project S, held in the city of Serrana, in the São Paulo inlands, and will also address the efficacy, effectiveness and safety of CoronaVac in other countries.
The symposium will be held on the morning of the three days, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am (Brasilia time), with live broadcast and simultaneous interpretation in Brazilian Portuguese. In the afternoon, at 3 pm, there will be round tables that bring together the main researchers from Butantan and important names in national scientific communication to comment and reflect on the main themes addressed in the morning sessions.
A wide range of journalistic coverage of the event is being carried out, with a team of professionals dedicated to creating news content on the main topics covered in the lectures, published on Butantan’s Portal, on official social networks and on the symposium website. Video pills are also being produced in which Butantan experts answer the most frequently asked questions about CoronaVac and the institute.
On the days of the sessions, there will be real-time coverage, with reports and news about the lectures and roundtables. In addition, a pressroom will be set up at Butantan for specialized journalists interested in attending the symposium in person.
The event is aimed especially at the scientific community, but also open to the general public. Those who participate will be certified at the end of the symposium.
